Lili Zaneta

A visual artist working across photography, video, text and thread on paper. Born in Split, Croatia, in 1994, she has been based in Trondheim, Norway, since 2018.

Her practice is slow and meditative — rooted in the textures of everyday life, human emotion, and the inner experience that rarely announces itself. She is drawn to stillness, to light, and to the subtle gestures that shape how we understand ourselves and each other. Her work frequently combines image, text, and other mediums within the same project, weaving them into a single conversation.

Recurring concerns across her projects include memory, identity, intergenerational connection, and the significance that lives inside seemingly ordinary moments. Much of her work asks what it means to be vulnerable, to be in process — and insists that the small and quiet are worth looking at closely.

She holds a BA in Cinematography from the University of Zagreb and an MFA in Fine Art from the Trondheim Academy of Fine Art.
